Toshikoshi soba noodles are traditionally eaten on New Year's Eve in Japan.

Toshikoshi means "entering the new year." Soba are buckwheat noodles.

Japanese eat buckwheat noodles on New Year’s Eve to wish for a long lasting life.

This is because it is said that the long and thin noodles symbolize the longevity.


Now we are accepting pre-order for Toshikoshi Soba. Pre-order now and pick up at Okidoki Izakaya on 12/30 or 12/31.
